Born in Moscow to Lithuanian World-famous Cellist David Geringas and Ukranian Pianist Tatjana Schatz, Grammy Award winning,Emmy-and Annie-nominated Composer Alex Geringas is a dual Citizen of Germany and The United States, living and working in Los Angeles. Alex composes music for Feature Film, Television and is a Songwriter with 16#1 Hits to his credits.

His songs have been performed by Snoop Dogg, Jessie J, Timbaland, Cher, Kelly Clarkson, Dove Cameron, Jordin Sparks, “Weird“ Al Jankovic, Mary Lambert, Ben Schwartz and many more.

Alex’s recent composing work includes the animated feature ARLO THE ALLIGATOR BOY (dir. Ryan Crego) for Netflix.Besides the Score he co-wrote all the original songs with Crego, as well as the follow up series I HEART ARLO. Also Alex scored the Nick/Paramount+ Feature BLUE’S BIG CITY ADVENTURE (dir. Matt Stawski)

Alex is currently scoring the Annie 2024 nominated DC/Warner Bros. Show BATWHEELS, finished the Feature Rom-Com MY FAVORITE GIRLFRIEND and the RZA and Haley Joel Osment Movie NOT AN ARTIST (tbr 2024)

Also In February 2024 the Bill Barr and All Things Comedy produced Feature DRUGSTORE JUNE (dir. Director Nicholaus Goossen - “Hustle”) had its theatrical release. 

His other recent scores include the latest installments of the TROLLS franchise TROLLS: TROLLSTOPIA and TROLLS: THE BEAT GOES ON! for DreamWorks Animation. Alex has also recently written original songs for THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE ON THE RUN for Paramount and the comedy feature THE WAR WITH GRANDPA.

Geringas has written a number of end title songs for the big screen including for such films as ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE, THE NUT JOB 2: NUTTY BY NATURE, WOODY WOODPECKER, and THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE, which he also wrote additional music for. Other original song contributions include THE MUPPETS (ABC), TRAINING DAY (CBS) and CSI (CBS). 

Alex has contributed additional music on such films as PITCH PERFECT 3 for Universal, UNCLE DREW for Lionsgate and THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS for STX Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company.

Geringas currently has 13 theme songs across Netflix, Nick Jr , Hulu, Peacock, Disney, Dreamworks , Mattel and The Jim Henson Company including FAST & FURIOUS SPY RACERS, VOLTRON: LEGENDARY DEFENDER and WORD PARTY. Additionally his songs can currently be heard in Nickelodeon’s RUGRATS, BABYSHARK, THE LOUD HOUSE and all 3 Seasons of Netflix NO.1 Hit-Show IS IT CAKE
