James Griffiths is a multi - award winning composer for Film and Television based in the UK and Los Angeles. Formally a professional saxophonist and guitarist with world wide soloist acclaim with The Band of HM Coldstream Guards. A Classical Brit Nomination and Classic Number 1 Record within the ensemble, James turned his solo musical direction from performing to composing.

Never looking back, he has maintained a strong, successful and unique voicing approach to his scores and productions with consistently successful official record label releases of his scores from such labels as Varese Sarabande, Quartet Records and Lakeshore Records. Widely acclaimed for his broad genre repertoire and influential thematic identity, James continues to enjoy being in the centre of film and music partnership, whether it is Feature Productions or Broadcast Television.

James also enjoys taking his scores from screen to stage with live concert performances, including countries such as Abu Dhabi performed by The UAE National Symphony Orchestra.

James is currently is based in his production and post-production studio (Riff Studios - a dub mixing and post services facility) adjacent to his home in the heart of The Yorkshire Dales National Park with his wife, daughter and their very badly behaved dog.
