Biography
Alessandro Mastroianni is a sound designer currently based in Italy.
After graduating in Business Economics and Management from Bocconi University in Milan, he began studying Film Scoring at Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. He was then admitted onto the M.Mus. in Scoring for Film, TV and Video Games at Berklee College of Music, where he earned his Master Summa Cum Laude and received a mention on the Graduate Studies Dean’s List for “excellent academic performance”.
Since 2014, he has worked as a composer for various short films ( Vantage by Pat Miller, Gone Nine Months by Lola Okusami, Libero Arbitrio by Enrico Farro, Ana: La Perreada by Rogelio Sanchez Toledo) and has written music for major networks (Netflix, History Channel, Animal Planet) through his L.A. based publishers Scorekeepers Music and Epitome Music.
His work in sound design includes Concetta by Marta Palazzo, as the re-recording mixer, and 65 North , a video game developed by ESAT Valencia, where he worked on the audio implementation and the soundtrack as part of a team of four composers.
He joined Nuance Communications Inc. in 2016 as the Senior Sound Engineer for the Audio Production Team, overseeing the audio production of the R&D team and managing a team of six sound engineers based in the Indian branch of the company in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, all the while continuing to work as a sound designer and composer for a number of projects.
